WINTER BELLYDANCE SERIES at ZNAMA STUDIO

Greetings dancing beauties! I am thrilled to announce my 12 week winter series at Znama Studio!!! Classes begin on November 25th and run all the way through February 10th. REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN! My Fall Series has SOLD OUT, so if you wish to get a spot for the Winter Series, I highly recommend that you PRE-REGISTER as class space is very limited, and i am capping it at 10 students!!!

Keep your inner flame alive through the winter days with dance! Here comes the winter series on Tuesday evenings at Znama Studio in Portland! This a BEYOND BASICS TRIBAL NOUVEAU SERIES which includes conditioning, drill combos and light choreography. We will be focusing primarily on Apsara Format improvisation, poise, clean and clear lines, nifty transitions, floorwork and zills! Over the course of this 12 week session, a lovely little community will grow, so I plan to celebrate with a student Hafla celebration at the end of the series!

There are 3 types of registration packages for this one:

6 weeks for $80, 8 weeks for $100, and 12 weeks for $140 or drop-in for $15 (if space allows…)

JAMBALLAH NW is right around the corner!

The Portland Bellydance Community is a movement that I am honored to be a part of. Every year we gather under one roof to celebrate the diversity within this dance at JamBallah NW where a plethora of workshops are offered over the course of 3 days, by many of the finest in bellydance from all over Portland and the world. I hope that you will indulge in this epic opportunity with me this August! I will be performing the Portland debut of my new Temple Tribal piece entitled MOKSHA (liberation in sanskrit) for the SATURDAY EVENING SHOWCASE at the Artists Repiratory Theater!

Introducing AURACLE!

Together Aradia and NagaSita join in alchemical heart vision
Creating “Auracle” A Temple Tribal Belly dance Company.
Focusing on the esoteric roots of Ritual Theatre & the pathways of Sacred Dance. This potent collaboration is created with the intention to inspire the divine within & dance the myths of remembrance. Auracle invokes the elements of earth magic, weaving a tapestry with traditional training & musing of the senses opening the gateway to Elysium.
These two internationally acclaimed dancers are merging to share their passions and high concept manifestations with the musical accompaniment of world renowned songstress Sonja Drakulich of Stellamara and sonic muse Imagika Om.
Auracle is blooming as a new project dedicated to the beauty of devotional artistry, integral visualization and transcendental fusion. Orginating from Portland’s very own Serpentine in 2008 these kindred souls join together again for the unveiling of this cosmic tale.

News From the Hip Showcase THIS SUNDAY at the STAR THEATRE!!!

TOMORROW!!! I will be performing 2 sets at the Star Theater Portland for the News From the Hip showcase alongside legendary dance sisters: Karolina Lux, Grace Constantine, Bevin Victoria, Erica Ryn, Joanna Castelli and Tatseena!!! There will by live music by The Lonesome Crows, and as always, this showcase is a celebration of the new issue release of Portland’s own full color bellydance magazine – News From the Hip! I am excited to announce that this issue contains unreleased images from a recent photo shoot I did withStellamara‘s Sonja Drakulich in collaboration with Black Lotus Clothing!!!

Mata Hari Embodiment at Tribal Weekend in Kiev Ukraine!

During my time in Budapest and up until Halloween I was immersed in a book about the life of Mata Hari, who I have been fascinated by for many years.  I was inspired to portray her when presented with the Phantasmagoria theme for Tribal Weekend in the Ukraine. Here I am portraying the Spectre of Mata Hari. How she might appear and tell a story through movement to those who are summoning her from beyond the veil by means of seance or otherwise….  I did my research and wove many of her most famous poses from the historic photographs into this dance. Music is “Labyrinth” by Raquey and the Cavemen.

E O has jumped on board with Stellamara recently for an extremely exciting collaboration. You can catch us again at the Symbiosis Gathering on the Autumnal Equinox 2013!
